Sand River Safari Lodge is a private hunting farm set in the heart of the African bushveld. A working farm where generations of stewardship have produced trophy-quality plains game and an unhurried way of life. We host a small number of guests at a time, by design.
Every hunt is led by a seasoned professional hunters who reads the land like a familiar book. Mornings begin at the campfire; days unfold across grasslands, riverbeds and mopane veld; evenings end with a long table, fine food, and the kind of quiet you only find this far from anywhere.
“A place to slow down, take aim, and remember what wild means.” — The Sand River Family
Not every encounter ends with a trophy. Between the hunts there are mornings spent watching herds move through the mopane, giraffe drifting across the two-track at first light, and birdlife that turns an ordinary pause into something worth remembering. The farm is alive, and much of its magic is simply in the watching.

A short film from the farm; the land, the people, and the days you will remember long after the journey home.
Private chalets and the main lodge; each room designed to slow the pace of a day in the field.

The heart of the farm. A long communal table, an open hearth, and verandahs that look out over the bushveld. Breakfast before first light. Sundowners on return.
