Hospitality Tips
The following tipping guidelines are provided to help you plan your gratuities:
Most clients typically give around $200 per hunter or $400 per couple, which is then divided among the staff, including the skinner, cleaners, and chef. Trackers usually receive between $100 and $300, depending on the level of service. Tipping your professional hunter is entirely at your discretion, but a common benchmark is 10% of your total invoice or the overall value of the hunt.
Tax
In South Africa, government tax (VAT) is applied only to the daily rates, not the total invoice. Because your animals will be exported, no tax is charged on trophy fees.
The current VAT rate is 15%, calculated on the daily fees.
For example: $350 + 15% VAT ($52.50) = $402.50.
